The Mane Event – Equine Assisted Learning

We are a 501(c)3 nonprofit whose mission has always been to help make the world a happier place.

Founded in February of 2018, the Taylor’s use trained miniature horses and barnyard friends to bring joy and smiles to everyone we encounter.

Once the Taylor’s retired in 2020, the Mane Event was transferred to WildeWood Farm, Inc and to Hannah Zapletal and her family.

There are many ways a person can benefit from spending time with a horse. They can improve a person’s happiness, especially for someone facing physical, mental, or emotional challenges. Horses have a quiet nature that can boost spirits, give confidence, provide a feeling of tranquility, and offer companionship for the lonely.

Equine Assistive Learning

Today’s young people have more distractions than any generation before them due to the insurgence of technology. Though, we need technology to thrive in the current world market and education system.

Community Service Provider

We’re a trusted community service provider, offering opportunities for judge-sanctioned community service. Our mission excludes violent crimes and sexual offenses, focusing on positive impact and rehabilitation

Military Re-Entry Support

Our military re-entry and PTSD support program is here to assist veterans in transitioning back to civilian life. We offer specialized counseling, career guidance, and skill development tailored to address PTSD and promote successful reintegration.

Super exciting news!

A donor has stepped forward to offer to match dollar for dollar! Will You Help?

Who are these children, and why do we care?

I was born in Haiti and lived there until I moved to the US to attend college (earned a BS in Biology). My heart always longs to “go home” and this is a way to make a difference in this entire region. Haiti is a 4th world country and the poorest of them all. Look at how thin these kids are! With school, they’ll get one heavy meal each school day!
These children (22 of them that we’ve been sending to school the past 4 years) live near the village that I lived in for most of my childhood, up on the northern coast far away from the capital. They have been identified by people that we know in Haiti and who work with the church schools (public schools only operate when the government is stable enough to pay the teachers, which it hasn’t been in many years. If public schools operate 50 days a school year, is a lot) as being very bright and willing to work hard in school.
The goal is to get them through high school and maybe even help with a trade school afterwards if there is funding.

.

Will you help?

Maybe you can’t sponsor a child 100%… that is no problem.

Can you give $50?

Or even $10/month?

100 % of the money goes directly to the schools where these children attend to ensure the school education is paid for and not spent somewhere else. YOU can pour directly into these families.
