Experience the Difference

Training

Back by popular demand, we are again offering "starting" horses here at the farm, and some remedial training (i.e. ground manners, trailer loading, farier issues, clipping issues. Remedial horses (depending on their issues) stay for a minimum of 1 month, for starters; we recomend 3 months.

The methods used to correct these inappropriate habits are gentle and humane. This means that the horses learn to trust and respect their owner instead of fearing violent punishment. We highly recommend that the owner learns these methods before the horse returns home, so that the horse doesn't slip back into old habits.

We have experience with many different breeds including but not limited to Arabians, Appaloosas, Belgians, Connemaras, Clydesdales, Dutch warm-bloods, Friesians, Gypsy Vanners, Hanoverians, Holstieners, Morgans, Mustangs, Percherons, Oldenburgs, Paints, Paso Finos, Quarter Horses, Racking horses, Spotted Saddle horses, Standardbreds, Tennessee Walking Horses, Thoroughbreds, and many crosses.

Our Trainer

Hannah Campbell Zapletal is the head trainer/owner and has been actively training starters and problem horses since she was a child on her parents ranch in Haiti. She has been training horses here in the U.S.A. since 1995. She has great compassion and "feel" for these wonderful creatures as well as their owners and works very diligently in creating the best learning environment for both. Horses are worked with very patiently and each horse is treated with dignity, kindness, and as an individual. No two horses can be trained exactly the same as each learn at a slightly different pace. Go to our "what other's say" page and see what our clients have said about our training. Hannah's mentors/celebrity instructors include: Monty Roberts, Charles de Kunffy, Anky van Grunsven, George Morris, and Margie Goldstein Engle to name a few.

* Due to Hannah's very busy teaching/showing schedule, she can rarely train horses off the farm.
