Mommy's Riding Out Lesson Program

Mom’s riding out is a new lesson program designed to fit into a busy schedule. It also offers an excellent opportunity to share in an activity your child has a passion for. Many of you rode as children and will find this a wonderful way to re-connect with your past love of horses. Others of you always wished for horses but never had the opportunity. This lesson will introduce you to horseback riding in a low-key, non-threatening environment. Re-discover the wonderment of riding and horsemanship.

Mommy's Riding Out lessons are offered thru the week in the mornings, for adults only (both female and male). Saturdays are sporadic as we show two weekends a month.

Requirements :

1. You will want a pair of boots and your own helmet if you decide to ride on a regular basis.

2. Wear jeans or breeches and a weather appropriate top.

3. You might want to wear gloves if you have a manicure (brushing horses kill pretty fingernails!).

4. Bring something to drink or money to buy something out of the Coke machine.

Please remember :

1. It takes time to build a new skill - be patient with yourself. Rome wasn't built in one day!

2. Riding is very physical - a fast posting trot is equivalent to slow jogging. Give yourself time to build up physically to the demands of riding.

3. Riding also requires good balance and a degree of flexibility. It takes time and effort to make our bodies learn a new position and develop muscle memory.

4. Most of all have fun and laugh at yourself. Most (if not all) are beginner riders like you. Be encouraging to your team mates and have fun! PLEASE ask questions!!!
